Well, a little about me.  I grew up in Orange County, California and was raised by loving parents who always encouraged me to develop my art.  Other than the usual kid stuff, my early life was pleasant and uneventful.  In 1998, after a year in college, I took a break from serious art and served a two year mission for my church in England.  Came home from England in 2000, got married in 2001, and moved to Northern California, where I began studying illustration at San Jose State University.  While at SJSU, I studied painting, color, perspective,  figure drawing, character design, as well as visual and story development.  It was here that I was exposed to many of the artists and movements that continue to inspire me and my work.  I was fortunate to receive instruction from SJSU's outstanding Illustration faculty (all working, professional artists), including Alice Carter, Courtney Granner, John Clapp, Sheldon Borenstein, and Barron Storey.  Near the end of my time at San Jose State, I had the opportunity to intern at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City and, in 2006, I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration.

I am currently working as a Concept Artist for Red Storm Entertainment in Raleigh.  When I am not working, I'm usually spending time with my beautiful wife and kids, serving in church responsibilities, dreaming up children's books, doodling, and eating.
